Witchy Woman

It's been drastically colder these past few days, I've been spoiled by being able to be outside in such lovely weather in nice outfits but today my ankles were far too chilly.

Something doesn't always need to happen.

~Natalya Lobanova

I remember when I used to think that something had to happen each day, or that I had to do something each day. Sometimes some of the best days are the days where nothing happen, when everything is at a calm, stand still and you can truly take the time to smell the roses and just enjoy the act of being.

Things I Love Thursday

"Today I am fortunate to have woken up, I am alive; I have a precious human life; I am not going to waste it. I am going to use all my energies to develop myself, to expand my heart out to others, to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings; I am going to have kind thoughts towards others; I am not going to get angry or think badly about others; I am going to benefit others as much as I can." – Dalai Lama

Instagram Photo Dump!

My head's been full of ideas lately! Mostly ideas that will probably stay ideas because I have a hard time to turn my thoughts into actions. But you can't start without an idea, right?

Also since the weather has been so dreamy I've been wearing a lot more dresses lately, and for myself I find it hard to have a bad day when I'm wearing something so great.

I've been wearing exactly what I want to wear, even going bare-legged (usually I would wear tights until it got to unbearable July weather but not this year!) By wearing exactly what I want and putting myself slightly outside my comfort zone I'm gaining more confidence in being myself and letting other people see who I really am.

Now if only I could lock up my anxiety and try to teach myself how to be social and converse with people and start back on the track of hanging out with people and making new friends then I'd be on the right track! (Okay if some place would actually give me a job interview that would help get me on track too, but these things take time!)

Now on to the Instagram photos from the past few days. Feel free to follow me, I'm over there as vadergurl!

Back in January I blogged about how I couldn't wait for spring so I could wear this dress. Well, I'm finally wearing it, and I love it! It's so comfortable and even has slight padding so wearing a bra (for me at least) is completely optional (which I have no complaints about!) Don't you just love how the black dots when you look closely are actually tiny hearts? Too cute!

I stopped shaving my body hair around September/October of this year. I'll admit, even though I am 100% comfortable with my fuzzy legs and pits I was a bit nervous to start going without sleeves and bare-legged because of those "what if someone says something" thoughts. Then I realized, this is my body, and other people's opinions of it don't mean a thing! So here  I am, showing off my pits (well one of them at least) in all their glory! (And before you ask, no it's not dirty and they don't smell any different than smooth underarms.)

I've found my summer addiction, Tim Horton's frozen raspberry lemonade, it is so good I can't even explain! An even better reason to try it is that you can get a small for only $1! Can't beat that!

The past few weeks I've been trying to be more creative, this oil pastel/watercolor picture of Bobby Hill is a little something I made for my boyfriend and I'm actually pretty proud of it. I'm thinking of doing a little series of cartoon character drawings like this. I only wish I had watercolor paper because using watercolors in regular printer paper is a sopping mess until it all dries up! Have you been working on any creative projects lately?

Here is yesterday's outfit! Another thrifted dress that I love! The studs are just a little something I added myself. The dress has tiny little white polka-dots, but the quality of my iPod camera doesn't really do them any justice, you'll just have to trust me on this one!

Happy Wednesday, I hope the rest of everyone's week is magical!

With great days come great feelings!

I think it's safe to say that the warm weather is pretty much to stay by now, and I couldn't be more happy to say that! There's just something about warmer temperatures that do wonders for my mood. I love being able to sit outside in the sun, feel the breeze in my hair and just enjoy living!

Being able to say I've already spent a few days outside in sleeveless dresses is amazing considering June hasn't even made it's way here yet!

Speaking of dresses, I found a great deal the other day while I was out shopping with my mom! I've never been to The GAP before but since we got one here in PEI a few months ago we figured we'd check it out. Boy am I glad we did! I found this amazing dress, regularly priced at $64.99 that had been marked down to $29.99 then down to $13.99 PLUS there was an additional 40% off of all clearance items. Which  means it only cost a little over eight dollars, isn't that insane? It was in my size and at the price how can you resist?

Yesterday was such a lovely day which was great so I could show off my new threads!

Let me live, love and say it well in good sentences.

Some days just have greatness hidden all over, and sometimes you never get to discover the greatness if look in the wrong places.

Earlier today Dan wanted to go for a walk, but I was feeling lazy, I wanted to be a couch potato. I eventually gave in, and boy am I glad I did.

First of all it's a beautiful day, warming up a little, slightly windy but perfect comfy jacket weather. We went for a beautiful little walk around Victoria Park, treated ourselves to some ice cream treats and on the way back home I couldn't pass up the chance to spend a few minutes swinging!

There's just something extra wonderful about those days that are great without needing anything out of the ordinary happening.
