Pizza & punch!

photo via http://www.allhealthyrecipes.net/
Dan and I just ate pizza and we’re drinking our wine punch we made!
We bought a package of those two pre-made pizza crusts that come with packets of sauce, and our cheesy pizza turned out amazing! I will for sure be buying them for at home! I even spoiled us and bought some pre-grated pizza cheese, yum! What I loved most was the fact that I could put as little sauce as I wanted. I’m not a huge sauce lover, and that’s what ruins frozen pizzas for me, there’s too much sauce! Dan made his side extra saucy and mine just had a light coating, perfect!

Delicious Punch!
  • Grab a 1.5 or 2 liter pitcher, or punch bowl
  • Buy your favorite type of frozen fruit punch mix
  • Pour the frozen juice mix into the pitcher
  • Fill the pitcher half way with water
  • Grab a bottle of your favorite cheap fruit wine. I used Boone's Strawberry Hill
  • Pour about 1/4 of the wine into the pitcher
  • Add 5 shots (or to taste) of Triple Sec
  • We also added about 2 shots of moonshine and a shot of spice rum for a little extra ooomph. You can add some vodka or whatever if you want to make it nice and strong
  • Mix up your mixture, to get the frozen juice all mixed in
  • Top off the rest of your pitcher with 7-up and water
  • Enjoy!

It's Just Another Manic Monday

I've been trying to be more productive and creative lately. Last week I gave my room a new look, which I'm so glad I finally got around to doing. Recently I also made my winter boots look even better than they did! A few months ago I had ordered some metal studs from Etsy to add some to clothing. I still have quite a few left so I gave my boots a little extra awesome, check them out!

The boots before....
The boots after!

In other news, Value Village is having a 50% sale on clothing and shoes today but it was so busy I couldn’t shop comfortably. However I did grab a cute framed kitten picture for $1.99 to put up in my room!

Dan and I went to the grocery store grabbed a couple of pizza kits, the kind with the already-made crust and packets of sauce, and some grated pizza cheese to make pizza tonight. We also picked up some frozen fruit punch mix to make a punch with later, nothing fancy but fruit punch, Triple Sec and probably what’s left of our stronger alcohol!

Why do people dislike Mondays again? Mine seems to be going pretty awesome.

Time For A Change!

Ever since I moved back in with my parents in their new home back in November 2009, I've always thought my room was incredibly boring. It's a very, very small room so there isn't many options on where the future goes and things like that. The past few months I had been collecting little things at a time such as a new comforter, pillows, sheets, wall decals and items to hang on the wall. Yesterday I finally got around to taking down what was already thrown on my wall whenever I first moved in and replacing it with some items that make the best out the small space I'm in.

Doesn't it look so much better? The before picture was taken about a year ago I forgot to snap one before I started taking things down. I kept my two Star Wars posters and my The Office calender, I just moved them to my empty wall by Sirius' food.

Here's a bit of a closer view to some of the wall stickers, I think they are quite cute!

I finally got my clown plates up! Only $1.99 each at Value Village! I had the "dream" and "believe" signs hanging off of the window but they look much nicer here.
It's not the best photo of this picture, but the little girl is holding a white cat! I plan on spray painting the frame gold!
I bought this because it reminded me of my Gramma, she loved glowers and gardening.

Things I Love Thursday

I know, I know I've been neglecting this blog. I have valid excuses though! Last week I started at a new job. Instead of relying on one day a week of cleaning tables, I now work part-time as a survey interviewer at a marketing research firm. To make it short, I call your house and ask if you want to do a survey. I'm back on track though and I'm hoping to update a few times a week again, but for now enjoy this week's installment of TILT.

Illustration by Emma D. from Rookie
Yesterday I was introduced to Rookie, which is the best website I have ever been on. I quickly switched my homepage from Google to Rookie. I can't stop reading their articles, and I can't stop listening to their weekly Friday Playlists! What is Rookie? I'll give you their own words;
"Rookie is an online publication for teenage girls featuring writing, photography, illustrations, videos, and more from a lovely staff and our readers. The site features monthly “issues,” each revolving around a theme. We post just three times a day – after school, after dinner, and before bed."If you take anything from this week's TILT I hope you take the time to check out this website, you won't be disappointed.

I can't remember a time where I wasn't a Star Wars fan. My dad was a big fan so I was introduced to the characters at a fairly young age. I even remember watching taped episodes of the Ewoks cartoon, which I preferred over Care Bears. I just can't get enough Star Wars. I love stumbling upon comical Star Wars pictures when I'm browsing the web, I always feel the need to share them too.

This is Jetta's TRU manifesto. Jetta runs an amazing blog called The Radical Uprise. She has a great weekly installment on her blog called "Seven Ways To Kick This Week's Ass", which I love reading every week. Check out  what I mean here. If you dig what you see on her blog you should consider browsing her Etsy shop, I've purchased some great zines and pins from there!

I love the 90s. I loved being a child in the 90s, but I also often wish I could have been a teen/early adult during those years. I find the style was the great, and I'm always looking at pictures of celebs or fashion shows from the 90s. One of my current favorite blogs on Tumblr is 90sdrewbarrymore which is you guessed it, packed full of adorable, sexy and fashionable photos of Drew Barrymore from the 90s, what's not to love?

I hope you all enjoyed this week's TILT, even if it was basically me swooning over websites I love. Let me know if you checked any out, I'd love to hear your opinions!

Color The Coast With Your Smile, It's The Most Genuiene Thing I've Ever Seen.

I was just outside for a few minutes. We’ve had surprisingly nice weather so far this November. I can be outside without a hat on, and my ears aren’t freezing off of my head. There was just a little wind. The tree across the street, the one by the green wooden fence, all of the remaining leaves are the most beautiful yellow. It was amazing to just sit there and look over at it when a gust of wind came about and just watch the leaves fly off of the branches. It was like watching a bunch of falling stars. Life is truly amazing if you just take the time to see it.
