Days 7 and 6 of 12 Days Of Christmas Countdown

Oops I forgot to post yesterday, but I have good reason! Today is my boyfriend's birthday, so yesterday I was doing some running around picking up drinks for myself and decorating cupcakes! Today I bring you a two-in-one post of my Christmas countdown! Stay tuned tomorrow for a picture update of what I'm wearing tonight!

My holiday plans this year are very similar to all my other years. Christmas Eve we have a small gathering at my parent's house. This year will be our biggest year yet! In attendance we will have myself, Daniel, my mom, my step-father and my sister with her girlfriend and family! We'll spend the night chatting, eating delicious food and sipping champagne (we bought some champagne toppers, should be interesting to try out!) Christmas Day this year will be different for me, it's my first Christmas with my sister not living at home. After we have our morning hot chocolate/coffee and are finished of opening our stockings and gifts we all pack up our bags and head to my grandparent's for the night. Every year on Boxing Day a celebration is held at my grandmother's house to celebrate her sister's birthday. It's great to get most of the family all together around the holidays, it's always a really fun time!

If I was to describe Christmas in five words, I'd use the following;
  1. Excitement
  2. Family
  3. Love
  4. Cookies
  5. Laughter
  6. Snow

Day 8 of 12 Days Of Christmas Countdown

This year when my mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas the only thing I answered with was "Socks!" It took me about a week to come up with a list of things, I'll share with you a few items!
  • headbands with bows on them
  • new make up brushes
  • hair products
  • pajamas
  • bath salts
  • anything Hello Kitty
I'm not too picky, and I don't ask for much. Christmas is a time for surprises, I don't like to know what I'm receiving as a gift. That ruins half the fun!

Day 9 of 12 Days of Christmas Countdown

I love the holidays and I love each and every tradition that is part of my family. It's hard to choose a favorite! I've always loved our Christmas Eve traditions though. Every year on Christmas Eve, my family gathers in our living room for snacks, nice drinks and we spend quality time together. Towards the later part of the night everybody is allowed to open one gift. As a child it was always so exciting, to open a present before we went to bed. It made having to wait until the morning to get into all the other gifts a bit more bearable.

What is your favorite holiday tradition in your family?

Day 10 of 12 Days Of Christmas Countdown

An old Christmas photo of me! If I was at home I could dig through some photo albums and dig up a really old one and scan it up, but I happen to be not home tonight. However I happen to have a few on Facebook. I like to share my baby pictures, sue me! I think this picture was roughly around 1995.

This Christmas is going to be my first Christmas morning where I won't be sharing it with my sister since she's moved out and has her own Christmas morning to do! It's going to be strange, but I'm glad I'll get to spend some time on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day with her and her family. The holidays are a great time of year to spend with family, I hope everybody enjoys every moment of it!

Day 11 of The 12 Days Of Christmas Countdown

Now my favorite Christmas carol isn't really a carol, and it's far from your traditional Christmas songs. Well, that depends on what kind of Christmas music that you listen I s'pose. My personal favorite Christmas song is a great gem from the glorious years when boybands were all the rage. I'm taking you back to Christmas 1998 with *Nsync's Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
We've been waiting all year for this night
And the snow is glistening on the trees outside
And all the stockings are hung by the fire side
  Waitingfor Santa to arrive
And all the love will show
'Cause everybody knows
It's Christmastime and
All the kids will see
The gifts under the tree

It's the best time of the year for the family
It's a wonderful feeling
Feel the love in the room
From the floor to the ceiling
It's that time of year
Christmastime is here
And with the blessings from above
God sends you his love
And everybody's okay
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays

Bells are ringing
It's time to scream and shout (scream and shout)
And everybody's playing cause school's out
Celebrating this special time we share
Happiness cause love is in the air

And all the love will show
'Cause everybody knows
It's Christmastime and
All the kids will see
The gifts under the tree
It's the best time of the year for the family
It's a wonderful feeling
Feel the love in the room
>From the floor to the ceiling
It's that time of year
Christmastime is here
And with the blessings from above
God sends you his love
And everything's okay
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays

No matter what your holiday
It's a time to celebrate
And put your worries aside (worries aside)
And open up your mind (open up your mind)
See the world right by your side
It's Christmastime
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays

It's a wonderful feeling
Feel the love in the room
From the floor to the ceiling
It's that time of year
Christmastime is here
And with the blessings from above
God sends you his love
And everything's okay
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas
Happy Holidays
There's nothing like a cheesy pop Christmas video, am I right? The premise of this video is that it's Christmas Eve, but Santa is sick! Naturally *Nsync ends up passing out the gifts and spreading Christmas cheer to everyone.

If I haven't convinced you into watching the video yet, maybe these screencaps from the video will change your mind!

12 Days Of Christmas Countdown

In the spirit of the season I've found a 12 days of Christmas countdown blogging challenge which I'll be doing on here. I urge you all to join in with the holiday fun!

Last Saturday evening I helped my mom decorate our Christmas tree. It's slightly crooked, but hey, nothing is perfect! Our tree is always decorated with decorations we've had for years, many of which are personalized and handmade from my childhood. I love seeing beautiful well put together Christmas trees, it's nice when people make everything tie in together. However I would never give up how we decorate our tree. I love that it is full of memories and life. Every year when it's time to decorate the tree when I'm going through all the ornaments I just get a huge burst of nostalgia for all of the Christmases past.

Stay tuned this week for more 12 days of Christmas fun! :)

The Fashion Of His Love

If you know me it's no secret that I adore Lady Gaga. Her songs make me want to dance and sing along (especially her Born This Way album, I can listen to it on repeat for days!) and I love her fashion sense. I'm always curious to see what she's wearing next, and I love it all.

I decided to put together a post of some of my favorite Lady Gaga looks. Just because I'm lacking on words to write in here doesn't mean a picture post can't help me out of my funk right? I hope you enjoy, and feel free to share your own favorite Lady Gaga looks!
