Friday Night Dress Up

Halloween is probably my favorite time of the year. My whole life I have loved getting dressed up and always had a collection of dress-up clothes and costumes. It's just so fun! Not to forget how much I love pumpkins and the color orange as well!

This past Friday I accompanied my boyfriend to a costume/going-away party for some friends of his that are moving to Toronto. It was pretty cool to have a reason to dress up (even if I usually dress up regardless), and a bit different since I'm not really a party person and meeting new people is not my strong suit sadly. It was a good night though!

Dan had the great idea of dressing up as Hunter S. Thompson for Halloween which worked out really well, and I went as a green fairy. (I also have a really awesome pink fairy costume if I am lucky enough to not be scheduled to work all night on Wednesday.)

Tickled Pink

♡ Today is a good day. ♡

Do you know why? No? Let me tell you! 

Today is the day my month-long employment search comes to an end!

This up coming Tuesday I start my orientation at Burger King as a cashier. 

Maybe not the most glamorous job but I am welcoming this job opportunity into my life with open arms considering the hard time I've been having looking for work.

 I am very much looking forward to having financial freedom again, and feeling a purpose to awake in the mornings. Also it will make me appreciate my down days so much more.

♡ Other reasons today is good ♡

♡ I treated myself to an extremely cute pair of black flats with ankle straps and a pair of heart-printed tights!

♡ Dan treated me to a cup of David's Tea. I've now tried two of their flavors, Pom Power and Organic Kanpe, which are both delicious. I love tea! 

♡ October is turning out a be a wonderful month! ♡

Waiting...

2012 is just flying by.
A strange year this has been to say the least.
My patience is truly being tested with the difficulties of finding a job in a small town.
It's probably all for the best.
Patience is a trait that not all of us are lucky to have.
My path is unknown right now, but I'm hoping the universe has something excellent in store for me.
After all, they do say good things come to those who wait.

New hair AND new glasses!

This week is probably the busiest week I've had this summer, this year and maybe even in my whole life! It's a good kind of busy though, lots of visiting with family, lots of fun and lots of laughs!


Late last week I finally got around to getting my hair cut, and I LOVE IT!! I really don't know what was holding me back from getting it cut. Or really I don't know why I was growing it out, I never liked long hair on myself because I find it so boring and well it's just too much hair for me to deal with.

Yesterday I got my new glasses as well, which is awesome because everything is so much clearer now! A big thanks to my aunt for passing down her old Ray Ban frames to me, I love them!

Now tomorrow I've got my job interview that was originally supposed to be yesterday, but they rescheduled on me. Right now I'm not too nervous, but I'm sure by the time tomorrow morning rolls around that will be a whole different story!

Remember how I said I was having a busy week? I am not kidding you! After my interview tomorrow I'm going to browse second-hand stores in hopes to find a little dress to wear Thursday. Thursday is my 21st birthday and I am very excited because my boyfriend and I are going bowling and out to eat for supper! I've been trying to go bowling for a year now but it's just never happened. Friday I've got some plans to hang out with a few lovely ladies, Saturday I am traveling out of province with my aunt to watch my cousin's MMA fight, then on Sunday it's my family reunion!

It's hard to not love summer when it's been so fun!

Summer Update!

Summer is flying by, but not too fast thankfully!

I've been keeping myself busy, this past month I've already been out of province two weeks in a row to visit my dad in Pictou! Both times were great, fun times out on his friend's boat, traveling to Pictou Island, played my first round of golf and of course enjoyed some drinks whilst relaxing in the hammock.

Next week I have a job interview! This I'm very excited but equally nervous about. It's at Staples, for a part-time cashier and let me tell you, my fingers are crossed so hard they're turning purple!

Speaking of next week, my birthday will be rolling around in eight days! Next week also marks the arrival of my aunt, uncle & cousins' arrival in PEI from Calgary!

Now I know I've been really slack with updating this, so here's a collection of pictures of great outfits and share-worthy things from the past few weeks! I sure hope everyone else is enjoying their summer as much as I am!

In most recent news, yesterday I traded in my brown/red/blonde hair for this slight reddish brown!

The iPod picture doesn't really do it justice, but I tried a deep fried 6" cheese pizza the other day, so, so delicious!

Picked up this beauty of a dress for $4.99!

I was lucky enough to share one of my Pictou visits with my best friend!

Pictou harbor as the sun's going down. We were on a boat to watch their carnival week fireworks! 

One of the best parts of Pictou, aside from the family and fun that is had is by far Acropole Pizza!

 I had lost the original ball I started out with, but found this gem!

Also picked up this cute little fella to hang on my  bedroom door!
